EVANGELISM ‘101’

You might say our belief is to use …Everyday Outreach for Everyday People

Revival Campaigns and Evangelism Training for the local church.  We want to help you and your congregation discover your equipping for the work of the ministry starting now!  God has called and commissioned us to exhort the local church to reach further into the world with the Gospel message.

We have received the Command: Go! God’s word says: “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.” Secondly we have to learn to release what is already inside of us! “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15: 13)  Third, we must learn the Lifestyle!“As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.” (Matthew 10: 7)  As we develop this lifestyle through prayer and spiritual growth, we learn that our lives are meant to overflow with unimaginable JOY and POWER!

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4: 13-14) Ultimately, as we go, learning the lifestyle and putting our faith into practice we are actually taking part in another part of what the scripture teaches and that is to: “Taste” to see! That the Lord is Good… “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” (Psalm 34:8)

The number one reason most of us don’t bother to talk to someone about Jesus is because of FEAR. My encouragement to you is that if you will prepare yourself in advance, and begin to pray and ask God to put people in your path to allow you to talk to about Him, He will keep His promise to ‘make you a fisher of men.’ We’ve all had the chance in life to share both bad news and good news about life to our friends and loved ones.  How much easier can it get?  I truly believe that if you will follow the instructions on this page. Commit to study this information daily until you feel equipped and confident to step out in faith. Then… GET OUT THERE!

So…Now that you have the overview, lets look at the key scriptures involved:

  • Bad News 1: “All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.” Romans 3: 23

  • Bad News 2: “The wages of sin is death…” Romans 6: 23a

  • Good News 1: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5: 8

  • Good News 2: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  (Romans 10:9)

*I understand Mike, but how do I put this into practice?

Let me wrap this up for you. If it seems like I’m making it sound simple, it’s because it really is. Your seed is the word of God. If you’ve ever come home after a long day and heard somebody say, “I’ve got bad news and I’ve got good news, which one would you like to hear first?” Don’t complicate it any more than that. The truth is, God is the one doing the work. You are the one doing the sharing. God wants to use you to be the communicator. Simple! No rocket science, no 4 year degree! Just a simple presentation that you commit to memory and begin telling others about …as you go!

The bible teaches us to be ‘steadfast’ and ‘unmovable’ … “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Cor. 15: 58). We believe strongly in providing the best possible biblical foundation for our church to continue to thrive in a difficult world.   We are bound by God’s Word to be obedient to Him in our actions and responsibilities.

As we are led of the spirit of God, we will continue to do the work of our Lord.  We would love for you to join us in this work.  See you soon!
